Southlake TX Development: New Stores, Restaurants & Major Projects Coming in 2026
If you haven’t been to Southlake lately, you may want to give yourself a minute to figure out what happened to some of those familiar storefronts.
Southlake is changing — and fast.
There’s a whole lot of retail musical chairs happening around town. Some familiar businesses have closed, others are moving into new spaces, and plenty of new stores and restaurants are getting ready to make their Southlake debut.
Then there are the really big projects, including a 40-acre mixed-use development anchored by a new Whole Foods Market.
So if you’re wondering what’s coming to Southlake, what’s already open and which familiar businesses have left, here’s your 2026 Southlake development cheat sheet.
Southlake Town Square
Southlake Town Square is seeing plenty of movement, with several new retailers joining the lineup.
BYLT Basics — Coming Soon
214 State St.
Men’s apparel brand BYLT Basics is moving into the former Francesca’s space. A “Coming Soon” sign is already up, although an opening date has not been announced.
On — Coming Later in 2026
415 Grand Ave. E.
Swiss running and performance brand On is headed to Town Square. The Southlake store will be the brand’s first Tarrant County location.
LOFT — Coming Soon
Former Eddie Bauer space on Main Street
LOFT is returning to Southlake, taking over the former Eddie Bauer storefront.
Apparently, the Southlake retail revolving door is still spinning.
Ascension Coffee — Coming Soon
100 State St.
Dallas-based Ascension Coffee is taking over the former Corner Bakery space.
An opening was originally anticipated for summer 2026, so this is one to keep an eye on for an updated timeline.
Reformation — Now Open
213 Grand Ave. E.
Fashion brand Reformation is now open at Town Square. The store opened in August and celebrated its grand opening on August 22.
It is also the brand’s first Tarrant County location.
Rothy’s — Now Open
307 Grand Ave. E.
The washable footwear and accessories brand has officially opened at Town Square.
Crate & Barrel — Now Open
321 State St.
Crate & Barrel opened June 25 in the former Market by Macy’s space.
Which means Southlake residents now have another perfectly reasonable reason to decide the house needs a completely different look.
New Restaurants Coming to Southlake
The restaurant scene is getting a makeover, too.
Hudson House — Expected Fall 2026
1131 E. Southlake Blvd.
Construction is underway in the former RA Sushi space, where Hudson House is preparing to open.
The restaurant is currently targeting a late September or early October 2026 opening and is expected to bring its oysters, burgers, cocktails and signature martinis to Park Village.
maman — Expected 2027
1161 E. Southlake Blvd.
French-inspired bakery and café maman is also coming to Park Village.
The 2,571-square-foot space is expected to begin construction in October 2026, with an opening anticipated in early 2027.
Expect coffee, pastries, brunch and the famous Nutty Chocolate Chip Cookie to be part of the attraction.
We’re not saying the cookie alone is worth a Southlake trip. But we’re also not saying it isn’t.
Major Southlake Development Projects
Southlake’s new businesses are only part of the story. Several larger development projects are changing the landscape, too.
Shivers Farm + Whole Foods Market
430 W. State Highway 114
This is considerably more than just a new grocery store.
Shivers Farm is a planned 40-acre mixed-use development along the SH 114 corridor, with Whole Foods Market officially announced as a major anchor.
The development is planned to include approximately:
- 111,000 square feet of retail
- 38,000 square feet of boutique office space
- 37 single-family lots
- A 3-acre site that could accommodate a hotel, entertainment or additional retail
The developer, Trademark Property Company, announced in June 2026 that Whole Foods Market would anchor the project.
The overall development is currently targeting completion in Q4 2027, although individual components can have their own construction and opening schedules.
So yes, Southlake is getting a Whole Foods.
But it’s really getting an entire new development around it.
Lupe Tortilla — Expected 2026
2701 E. SH 114
Texas restaurant chain Lupe Tortilla is renovating the former Buca di Beppo space.
The approximately 8,400-square-foot project has been approved, with the restaurant expected to arrive later in 2026.
Wonder — Coming to Southlake
2055 W. Southlake Blvd.
Wonder is bringing its multi-restaurant food hall concept to Southlake.
Instead of operating like a traditional single restaurant, Wonder allows customers to order from multiple restaurant concepts through one operation.
Construction is underway, although there is not yet a firm opening date.
Businesses That Have Left Southlake
All that new development comes with a little bit of goodbye, too.
Nike — Closed
181 Grand Ave.
The Town Square Nike location closed in August after about four years.
Eddie Bauer — Closed
The longtime Town Square store has closed, with LOFT taking over the space.
Francesca’s — Closed
The Town Square location has closed, with BYLT Basics moving into the former storefront.
Corner Bakery — Closed
The longtime Southlake location has closed, with Ascension Coffee taking over the space.
L’Occitane — Moving, Not Leaving
One clarification worth making: L’Occitane is not leaving Southlake.
The store is moving to a new location at:
1251 Main St.
So if you were worried about losing your favorite lotion stop, crisis averted.
What’s Changing in Southlake?
Quite a bit.
New retailers are moving into Town Square. New restaurants are filling former restaurant spaces. Park Village is getting new dining options. And major projects like Shivers Farm are adding significant new retail, office, residential and future development space.
In other words, if you haven’t visited Southlake in a while, don’t assume your old mental map is still accurate. You may find yourself driving past a familiar storefront and thinking, “Wait… wasn’t that something else?”
Yes.
Probably.
Southlake is basically rearranging the furniture while we’re still sitting on the couch. And we’ll keep updating this list as more opening dates, construction timelines and new businesses are announced.
