Northlake continues to add more than rooftops.

Several new projects registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation in early September point to another wave of businesses and community-focused spaces taking shape around town — from youth athletics and badminton to cricket, healthcare and new retail space.

Here’s what we’re watching.

A New Sports Cluster Is Taking Shape

One of the more interesting developments is happening around the DFW Northlake Business Park, where several sports-related projects have been registered.

Redline Athletics

A new Redline Athletics facility is planned at:

200 Mavericks Lane, Units A–E
Northlake, TX 76247

The TDLR filing describes an approximately 8,000-square-foot facility, with an estimated completion date of September 2026. Redline Athletics specializes in youth sports performance, including speed, agility and strength training.

Northlake Badminton

Just across the way, Northlake Badminton is planned for:

201 Mavericks Lane, Units A–E
Northlake, TX 76247

The project is also listed at approximately 8,000 square feet, with a September 2026 estimated completion date.

And this isn’t just a name on a construction filing. Northlake Badminton already has an online presence promoting court access, memberships, coaching and training. Its website currently lists a Northlake address at 1700 FM 407, Suite 200, so the relationship between that location and the newly registered project should be considered separately until the business confirms its final location.

Northlake Cricket Academy

Cricket is also getting some attention.

Northlake Cricket Academy is planned for:

201 Landry Road, Units B–E
Northlake, TX 76247

The TDLR registration calls for an approximately 8,000-square-foot metal building with interior finish-out and lists an estimated September 2026 completion.

That gives this part of Northlake an interesting mix of athletic options — and it’s another sign that the area’s commercial growth isn’t limited to restaurants and retail.

Healthcare Is Growing, Too

A new allergy clinic is also in the works.

Foster Allergy Clinic is listed as part of Northlake MOB 2 at:

1620 FM 407, Suite 110
Northlake, TX 76247

The project was registered September 3 and involves approximately 2,500 square feet of medical-office finish-out. The project record lists an estimated completion date of September 2026.

The Foster name is also associated with North Texas Allergy and Asthma Center, which currently serves patients in the North Texas area, including the Northlake/Argyle market.

More Activity Around Pecan Plaza

Pecan Plaza continues to fill in around Cleveland-Gibbs Road and FM 407, with additional construction underway or planned.

Freeform Chiropractic

The TDLR filing for Freeform Chiropractic Northlake calls for a 1,760-square-foot interior finish-out. Construction is scheduled to begin September 15, with an estimated completion date of February 1, 2027.

More Retail Space

A new 6,200-square-foot retail shell building is also registered at:

8080 Gibbs Road
Northlake, TX 76226

The building does not yet have a tenant assigned in the TDLR record, but construction is scheduled from August 31, 2026, with an estimated completion of May 2027.

So there may be another tenant announcement to watch for down the road.

And There’s More on the Way

These projects join the larger wave of development happening throughout Northlake, where new medical, restaurant, retail, service and recreation businesses continue to follow the area’s residential growth.

And that’s really the interesting part.

Northlake isn’t just getting bigger — it’s getting more places for people to actually spend their time.

Sports facilities. Healthcare. Restaurants. Retail. Services.

For longtime residents, it’s a pretty noticeable change. For newer residents, it’s quickly becoming the landscape they’ve always known.

We’ll keep watching the construction sites, permits and announcements — because around here, today’s empty shell can become tomorrow’s favorite local spot surprisingly fast.
