September has barely wrapped up and we’re already talking pumpkins, hayrides and corn mazes. But if we’re being honest, we’re perfectly happy to get a head start on fall. If you’re looking for a place to pick out a pumpkin, let the kids run wild for a few hours, wander through a corn maze or just enjoy a fall afternoon, there are plenty of options within about an hour of Justin.

We rounded up the 2026 pumpkin patches and fall farm experiences in the area, along with dates, locations, prices and some of the things you’ll find at each one.

🎃 Cobbins Family Pumpkin Patch — Sanger

Cobbins is a good choice if picking out a pumpkin is only the beginning of the fun.

Admission includes the pumpkin patch, toddler village, baby soft-play area, playground, hay maze, bounce houses, lawn games, sensory activities, crafts and photo spots. A mini pumpkin is included with child admission while supplies last.

Food, additional pumpkins and some other extras cost extra.

Best for: Families with younger kids who want plenty to do in one place.

Big Orange Pumpkin Farm at Preston Trail Farms is already open for the season.

If getting lost in a corn maze sounds like a good time, Hall’s should be on your list.

The farm has a more-than-two-acre corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrides, farm animals, vintage tractors and plenty of fall photo opportunities.

The corn maze is included with admission. Pumpkins and hayrides cost extra.

One important heads-up: Hall’s is cash only, and pets and outside food aren’t allowed.

Opening weekend, Oct. 3–4, is also a Pumpkin Festival weekend.

This one isn’t a traditional pumpkin patch, but it’s worth knowing about if you’re looking for something different.

Pumpkin Nights features thousands of carved and illuminated pumpkins, themed areas, walking trails, photo opportunities, food and entertainment.

Think less “pick a pumpkin from a field” and more “walk through a giant glowing pumpkin wonderland.”

Best for: An evening outing, date night or families looking for something beyond the usual pumpkin patch.

🍎 And One Local Fall Stop Without the Pumpkins

Goober Bub’s Orchard & Bakery — Justin

We can’t talk about fall in Justin without mentioning Goober Bub’s — but there’s an important update this year.

The pumpkin crop didn’t grow, so there won’t be pumpkins at Goober Bub’s in 2026.

The good news is that the farm is still getting into the fall spirit. You can stop by for apple cider donuts, mini pies, frozen watermelon lemonade and other bakery goodies, along with swings, yard games and picnic areas.

So don’t head there expecting to pick a pumpkin this year. Do head there if you’re in the mood for a local fall treat.

🍁 A Few Tips Before You Go

Texas weather can change the pumpkin-patch game pretty quickly, so check the farm’s website or social media before you leave, especially after rain. Some locations adjust hours or activities when conditions get muddy.

And wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Because nothing says fall family outing quite like getting home with a pumpkin, a handful of snacks and approximately three pounds of Texas mud stuck to your shoes.
